NotificationTracker is a watchdog tool that brings transparency to the EU notification procedure ((EU) 2015/1535) —a process where EU member states must inform the European Commission before adopting new technical regulations that could impact trade.
While officially meant to prevent trade barriers, the system is frequently used by corporations and lobby groups to weaken national regulations. Our goal is to uncover these hidden influences and make them accessible to the public.
We track and analyze new draft technical regulations that are notified to the EU Commission and displayed on the Technical Regulation Information System (TRIS). We combine this publicly available data with information from the EU Transparency Register and Lobbyfacts —CEO's transparency database on EU lobbying and influence. NotificationTracker allows you to:

NotificationTracker sheds light on this often-overlooked stage of policymaking, enabling NGOs, journalists, and researchers to hold power to account.
NotificationTracker is an independent initiative developed by Moritz Neujeffski in coorperation with Corporate Europe Obserfvatory (CEO).
