Under § 113f TKG, the catalogue of requirements must be prepared by the Federal Network Agency to ensure particularly high standards of data protection and data quality when implementing the traffic data storage obligation and when using stored traffic data (§§ 113b–113e TKG).
The catalogue of requirements describes technical arrangements and other measures to ensure a high standard of data protection and data quality when storing traffic data subject to obligatory storage. The main requirements relate to ensuring high-quality traffic data, encrypted storage in a physically secure environment, access to traffic data under the four-eyes principle, irreversible deletion options and tamper-proof logging of the use of traffic data.
