The amendments made by this Royal Decree aim to account for the interpretation of the authorities of the European Union with respect to monitoring devices, making it easier for companies to place their products on the market.
The notified draft aims to facilitate the placement on the market as plant protection products of monitoring devices containing semiochemicals, including pheromones, recognised as active substances within the framework of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 2009 and included in the annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 of 25 May 2011 implementing Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the list of approved active substances, in accordance with the criteria issued by the European Commission.
