The regulatory action, adopted pursuant to Article 22 of Law No 53 of 22 April 2021, which entered into force on 8 May, on “Delegation to the Government for the transposition of European directives and the implementation of other European Union acts” for the transposition of (EU) 2019/904 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment, aims to prevent and combat the dispersion of waste into the aquatic environment, prohibiting and providing a disincentive in relation to the production and marketing of certain single-use plastic products. The legislator has laid down rules for restricting and phasing out products and packaging which are among the ten most commonly found on European beaches. The impacts resulting from this regulation will have repercussions on the productive, social and environmental sectors.
The draft legislative decree is drawn up for the purpose of transposing Directive (EU) 2019/904 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment. The draft legislative decree consists of 15 articles and 1 annex, divided into 7 parts - from A) to E).
